    Common Names: Peacock Plant, Zebra Plant
      Description: There are several dozen species in this genus. Native to the tropical Americas, many of the species are popular as pot plants due to their decorative leaves and, in some species, colorful inflorescence. The top side of its leaves features contrasting white markings alongside the green, and the underside has a pretty light purple-pinkish hue that also runs down the stems.

        Care Instructions

        Place the plant in an area of the home that is away from direct sunlight. While the plant enjoys bright indirect light, it should not be in direct sunlight as this can harm the plant.
        Water the plant once every week or so, making sure the soil is moist but not soggy. Avoid overwatering the plant as this can cause root rot.
        Mist the leaves of the plant every few days to increase the humidity in the air around your plant.
        Feed the plant with a diluted liquid fertilizer every two weeks spr-fall.
