Maranta Variegated 'Beauty Kim'

Maranta Beauty Kim is one of the most extraordinary and genuinely rare variegated prayer plants in existence. Its medium green leaves carry the classic row of chocolate spots along each side of the midrib, but this variety also develops random splashes and splotches of creamy white to pale yellow variegation that appear unpredictably across each leaf. No two leaves are ever the same. Like all Marantas it folds its leaves upward each evening and opens them again in the morning.

Good for beginners? It requires more attention than basic plants. As a variegated Maranta it is somewhat more sensitive than the standard variety and needs consistent moisture and some humidity to look its best.

Safe for cats and dogs? Yes. Maranta is non-toxic to pets, making it safe for homes with cats and dogs.

Light needs: Bright indirect light keeps the variegation most vivid and the chocolate spotting most defined. It tolerates medium light but the creamy variegation becomes less expressive. Avoid direct sun which will bleach the delicate pattern.
