Curly Lipstick Plant is one of the most charming and unusual trailing plants you can grow. Its small, thick, glossy leaves are slightly curled and twisted, giving the plant a playful, bouncy texture that looks beautiful cascading from a hanging basket or trailing from a shelf. When it blooms it produces vibrant tubular red flowers that emerge from dark maroon tubes — the signature look that gives all Lipstick Plants their name. It flowers freely and the blooms carry a light, sweet fragrance.

Good for beginners? Yes. Lipstick Plant is easier than it looks. It tolerates average home conditions, prefers to stay on the drier side, and is very forgiving of missed waterings. The curly leaf texture also makes it more drought-tolerant than flat-leafed varieties.
