Hoya Carnosa 'Krimson Princess'

Hoya Carnosa Krimson Princess is the inside-out counterpart to the Krimson Queen — where the Queen has pink and white edges, the Princess has creamy white to pale yellow in the center of each thick, waxy leaf with rich green borders. New leaves often emerge in a blush pink before settling into their mature coloring. It is a slow-growing, long-lived trailing plant that produces the same fragrant, star-shaped waxy flower clusters as all Hoya Carnosa varieties.

Good for beginners? Yes. Like all Hoya Carnosa varieties, Krimson Princess is drought-tolerant, adaptable, and very forgiving. It rewards patience — slow to grow but long-lived and stunning at maturity.

Light needs: Bright indirect light is important for this variety. More light means better center variegation, healthier growth, and a higher chance of blooming. An east or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid low light which causes the white center to fade toward green.

Care at a glance: Water only when the soil is completely dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Never remove old flower spurs — they bloom again from the same point year after year. Enjoys slightly higher humidity but adapts well to normal home conditions.
