Hoya Rope Plant

Hoya Rope Plant is one of the most unique-looking plants in any collection. Its thick, curling, cupped leaves twist around trailing vines in a way that looks almost architectural. It grows slowly and deliberately, producing clusters of fragrant, star-shaped waxy flowers when it's happy. Once it blooms, it will bloom again from the same spot — so never cut off the flower spurs.

Good for beginners? Yes, as long as you resist overwatering. Hoya Rope is one of the most drought-tolerant Hoyas and thrives on neglect between waterings. Give it light and let it dry out and it will reward you for years.

Light needs: Bright indirect light is best. More light encourages more blooming. Avoid low-light conditions which can cause slow, leggy growth.
