Scindapsus pictus 'Exotica' is the larger, bolder sibling of the popular Satin Pothos. Where the Satin has small defined silver spots, this variety has sweeping silver washes that cover much of each leaf, creating a shimmering, almost holographic effect when light catches it. It is genuinely one of the most striking trailing plants available.
Good for beginners? Yes. Scindapsus Exotica is low-maintenance, adaptable, and very forgiving. It looks exotic but is nearly as easy to keep as a standard Pothos.
Safe for cats and dogs? Scindapsus pictus is toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.
Light needs: Bright indirect light brings out the most vivid silver coverage. It tolerates medium light but the silver variegation becomes less defined. Avoid direct sun and very low light.
Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Enjoys higher humidity but adapts well to normal home conditions. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Wipe leaves occasionally to keep the silver markings gleaming.
Ships fresh from one of our two greenhouse locations in a nursery pot. Covered by our 30-Day Plant Guarantee — if it arrives damaged, we replace it. Free shipping on orders $149+.

Care Instructions
Light: Scindapsus pictus does best in bright indirect light, such as near a north or east-facing window. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause the leaves to become scorched.
Water: Water your Scindapsus pictus when the soil is slightly dry. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. If your plant becomes too dry, its leaves may start to droop.
Temperature: Scindapsus pictus plants prefer temperatures between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
